Local & International Projects
We support our neighbors in need by providing hands on assistance or financial aid either through person-to-person contact or in cooperation with other local charities.
Working together with other Rotary Clubs around the world and Rotary International as well as international aid organizations, we focus on sustainable projects to empower local communities, provide clean drinking water, improve maternal and child health, grow local economies and educate the next generation to build a better future.

Haiti Project
Our latest and largest project aims to help equip a neonatal intensive care unit in the Women’s and Children’s Hospital currently under construction at Hôpital Sacré Coeur in Milot, Haiti. This expansion is being funded by Holy Name Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ. In close cooperation with Holy Name Foundation, our club is raising the funds needed to purchase two (2) neonatal intensive care isolettes and two (2) heart monitors that Hôpital Sacré Coeur has identified as critical to improving the survival rates of neonates, especially those born before 32 weeks or weighing less than 1,500 grams.
Our goals is to raise $110,000 .

Oktoberfest Fundraiser
The annual Leonia Oktoberfest, now in its 26th year, is a fundraising and community event to support our Weekend Snack Pack Project (see HERE) and our other local and international projects.
What started as a backyard celebration of German heritage has, over time, become a town-wide festival with local beers, German food, and great entertainers.
